The Nangus Public School Parents and Community (P&C) Association tremendously supports all the students, staff and school events and programs with significant parental participation in classroom activities, fundraising, transport provision, catering, school planning, sporting events, meetings, school assemblies and special community events.
The NPS P&C readily organises and contributes to activities which positively influence the opportunities for the school, local and broader community. By hosting a variety of activities and events, the association raises funds which directly contribute to the purchase of resources for the school body. During 2011, the NPS P&C's activities included:
- 'end of month' barbeques or camp oven nights as fundraisers at the Nangus Store
- Melbourne Cup day luncheon
- Annual Presentation Night (raffle donation)
- Street Stall
- Creation and sale of 2012 calendars
- CWA International Day, Cancer Council's 'Biggest Morning Tea' and ANZAC Day catering
- Queensland flood relief appeal support
- Kindergarten caps and Yr 6 shirt provision
- Purchase of blazers as a perpetual component of the formal school uniform for senior students
