2014 Small Schools State Knockout Touch Division 1 winners

Ten students representing Nangus Public School have returned home after a successful campaign in the touch football division of the 2014 PSSA Small Schools Knockout held at Moorebank on September 18.

Nangus defeated teams from Eurongilly and Yerong Creek to reach the Sydney finals, where they went on to defeat Old Banalbo (13-0), Captains Flat (13-1), and finally Cassilis (7-3) to win the state title.

Throughout the competition, each player contributed in both attack and defence, and every player scored a try on the day with the exception of one player who was side-lined due to injury. Individually, the players showed great skill as well as working well as a team withe a lot of encouragment among team members.
