NSW PSSA Swimming Championships

Nangus Public School students have once again excelled in swimming activities during term one. This has led to four students qualifying to represent Riverina at the state PSSA Swimming Championships in April.

Jane Lemon qualified for an individual event,11 year girls 50m freestyle, as well as part of the relay team which qualified in the Peter Dobson Small Schools' Relay Division. Jane (Year 5), Mitchell Smart (Year 6), Cameron Smart (Year 5) and Tejay Weston-Angland(Year 4) swam at Homebush, taking a further 13 seconds off their qualifiying time from Albury.  

The Peter Dobson relay division is for schools with an enrolment of between 25 and 56 students. Nangus Public has a school student population of 31 students. It was the first time for Tejay to represent the Riverina, however, Jane, Mitch and Cameron have represented the Riverina at Homebush on previous occasions.
